24 April 2009 - City and Guilds accreditation for Labadi Beach Hotel

This makes Labadi Beach Hotel the first hotel in West Africa to be so recognized, after appraisal reports passed the hotel as having met the eligible hospitality institution with facilities to run City and Guilds training programme effectively and efficiently.
This also means that Labadi Beach Hotel now has the mandate to formally train its staff, using City and Guilds academic programmes for a period of six months after which the trainees would sit for a City and Guilds International Qualification examination and be awarded with City and Guilds UK Certificates, Diplomas or Advance Diplomas, depending on the kind of courses undertaken.

Labadi Beach Hotel will start its first programme in June this year offering the following courses:
• Food Preparation and Culinary Arts
• Food and Beverage Service
• Reception Operations and Services as well as
• Accommodation Operation and Services.

Adrian Landri, general manager of Labadi Beach Hotel, comments that this move by the hotel aims to upgrade the skills and levels of professionalism among workers to enable them to improve upon the existing quality of service delivery.
